Welcome Message

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is truly a great pleasure and honour to welcome you all, on behalf of the Thai Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, under the Patronage of the King, to the 6th ACOMS Trainee conference held jointly with the 33rd annual scientific meeting of the Thai AOMS in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the first time in Thailand to combine the two important scientific and educational meetings in one place. The Thai AOMS and the Asian AOMS have worked hard together to bring both renowned international speakers and distinguished local speakers on various aspects in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery to the meeting. We hope all colleagues and the speakers will enjoy this scientific event and take this opportunity to make friends with colleagues from other countries and share experiences and ideas on every aspect in our specialty. For the trainees, this is the first “face-to-face” ACOMS trainee conference after the COVID-19 pandemic. We are confident this combined conference would be the good opportunity for you all for learning, experiencing, and making friends with trainees from other countries as well.

Welcome Message

The 6th Asian OMS trainee conference is to be held in October 2023 in Thailand. The trainee conference is a great opportunity for maxillofacial trainees and young surgeons to connect academically and also to network in the Asian region. Trainee fellowships within Asia is another opportunity for young OMF surgeons in this region.

The 6th ACOMS trainee conference is held along with the National conference of the Thai Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This is a not-to-miss opportunity for Asian maxillofacial trainees and young surgeons.

Welcome Message

Hello, everyone. My name is Tetsu Takahashi, I am executive Director of Asian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. It is my great pleasure to announce you that 6^th ACOMS Trainee conference will be from October 9^th to 11^th in Bangkok Thailand with the great help of Thai Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. It has been more than 3 years since COVID-19 was prevalent all over the world. This Pandemic deprived all of us of attending the scientific meetings, conferences and social activities. Speaking of the last trainee conference, it was held by Webinar in 2020. The last face to face trainee conference was held in Yangon, Myanmar in 2019. Therefore, we missed the face to face trainee conference for 4 years. Personally, I have many good memories of Thailand. I have been to Bangkok for 3 times. The first visit was 2008, the 8th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Unfortunately, Dr. Vacheree, the president of Asian AOMS at that time was past away, but it was the great conference. Thailand is now the growing center in the whole Asia economically. I am sure that future of Thailand is bright not only in the field of the economy but in medicine and dentistry. I hope this trainee conference will be the landmark of the further development of oral and maxillofacial surgery of Thailand, and Asia. Finally, on behalf of Asian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the organizing committee, specifically, the president, Dr. Suthin Jinaporntham, Thai Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Welcome everybody, and let’s enjoy the conference!
